Auditions (2013–2014 season)

Audition music for the 2013-2014 season is now available. Please check out audition music page for more details!

NOTE: All players auditioning need to complete 2013-14 Registration Form and bring it to the audition.

All auditions are held at the Education Building, University of Saskatchewan.

Saskatoon Youth Orchestra

Auditions will be booked through the SYO Registrar, Mi Lee (email: registrar@syo.ca) SYO Audition dates are:

  • June 3, 2013 - 6 – 10 pm
  • June 11, 2013 – 7 – 9 pm
  • June 14, 2013 – 6 – 9 pm
  • June 15, 2013 – 1 – 5:30 pm
  • Sept 7, 2013 – 9 am - 10 pm
  • Sept 8, 2013 – 2 – 10 pm

    • Audition date set for percussion students is June 15th from 10:15am-12:30pm in Quance Theatre. There would be September audition also, which date/time is not decided yet.

    Saskatoon Strings

    Saskatoon Strings Audition will be held in the Education Building, U of S on May 25 from 9-Noon and September 7th from 9-12 noon. People who want SSTR auditions on May 25, 2013 can contact Betty Ann Arscott, administrative assistant: admin@syo.ca to book times. People who want SSTR auditions on September 7th from 9-12pm can contact Mi Lee, Registrar:(email: registrar@syo.ca) to book times.     Please Note: Each instrument should learn complete Antique Dances and Airs (Ottorino Respighi arr. Harry A. Alshin).

    Saskatoon Strings players (Bernadette Wilson’s group) who plan to return to this same group for the 2013-14 Season do NOT need to do an audition for Bernadette. You will just come to the first rehearsal in the fall, September 8th at 5:45 in Room 1036.
