The SYO holds auditions each spring on the main floor of the Education Building at the U of S. Auditions will be held Sunday, May 27, Saturday, June 2, and Sunday, June 3.
We are looking for musicians aged 14-25 who are serious about their instrument and their commitment to the orchestra. SYO players are required to have a private instructor, and if they are in elementary or high school, are required to participate in their school music or band program.
Orchestral instruments include: violin, viola, cello, double bass, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, French horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba and percussion.
There is no cost to audition. Information, including audition music, is available under the 'Join' tab of this website.
