The Saskatoon Youth Orchestra invites young musicians to our annual Orchestra Open House on Sunday, March 15, 2026 from 6:00-8:30 pm in the Education Building at USask.
Players of flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, French horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba, percussion, violin, viola, cello and double bass are invited to attend.
You will start by meeting Music Director Richard Carnegie, and then have sectional instruction with one of our coaches. You will then join the full orchestra in Quance Theatre to play the pieces you have worked on.
At 8:00 pm the SYO will perform a mini concert for you!
This opportunity is aimed at serious students who have at least two years experience on their instrument and who may be interested in playing in a full orchestra.
There is absolutely no cost to attend.
