Dust off your instruments — we’re doing it again! The annual SYO Alumni and Friends Summer Orchestra Concert goes Saturday, June 20, 2026.
You are invited to take part in a fun summer orchestral concert with the Saskatoon Youth Orchestra. We’re inviting past, current and future players, as well as our friends in the community, to come together to make music for fun and to raise money for the SYO Player Fee Assistance Fund.
Who can participate?
Everybody and anybody who plays an orchestral instrument:
- Former players of the SYO or Saskatoon Strings
- Friends of the SYO Inc. who play orchestral instruments
- Music and band teachers, and private tutors
- Current players who want to play over the summer
- Brand new SYO players set to start in 2026–27
All music lovers and SYO supporters welcome. There’s no cost to take part — it’s all for fun and a good cause.
Rehearsals & concert
- Rehearsal 1: Thursday, June 18, 6:30–9:00 pm, Quance Theatre
- Rehearsal 2: Friday, June 19, 6:30–9:00 pm, Quance Theatre
- Concert Day: Saturday, June 20, Quance Theatre (dress rehearsal time TBD; concert at 7:00 pm)
